New ANNOUNCEMENT!
If you’ve been with me for a while, you know the struggle I toiled with in 2023. It was May of that year when I finally closed the doors to the Cedar Knolls studio. The pandemic really did a number on my hopes and dreams for that space.
Let’s go back there for a quick min. The studio was minimally decorated with moments of greenery from the house plants, bright and welcoming. I especially loved patient’s first time reaction to seeing the Pilates Caddy that greeted them. It was usually received with a side eye or immediate curiosity. Let’s be honest, it did look like a sex machine. Patients were initially skeptical about using it, but it soon became their favorite exercise apparatus, even more so than the reformers and springboards.
Anyway, after selling most of that equipment, I handed over the keys and returned to home visits, where I actually started. That served well. And still does! On the occasion, I’ve met with some patients in a rented studio space in Verona, not too far from my original space in Cedar Grove.
Later last year (2025), I was fortunate to come across another healing space, Silk Studio, located in Verona. There, I met with massage therapist and acupuncturist Andrea Silk. The space she created is bright, welcoming, and feels very reminiscent of my old space. It was a sign.
After some contemplation and many synchronicities, I’ve decided to offer my services there. If you’re in or around Montclair, Bloomfield, Cedar Grove, Verona, the Oranges, the Caldwells, Fairfield, Wayne, Short Hills, East Hanover, or anywhere nearby, stop in for a visit. I’m offering physical therapy for pelvic and breast health treatments, along with a new modality coming soon (stay tuned)! And in case you’re wondering, Silk Studio offers massage therapy, acupuncture, facials, yoga, and more!
Help me celebrate and tell a friend! I always appreciate your support.
Cool facts about the space: there’s street parking, municipal parking across the street, and the beautiful Verona Park around the corner. I look forward to taking many walks around the park or sitting to watch ducks on my lunch break.
